Can't provide security to doctors at cost of other citizens: SC
The Supreme Court on Tuesday deferred the hearing on a plea seeking protection of doctors in government hospitals. "We understand it is a serious issue but we cant provide security to doctors at the cost of other citizens," the apex court said. Since doctors have called off their strike, there is no urgency to hear the matter, the SC added.

3 killed as under-construction water tank collapses in Bengaluru
Three workers were killed and around 20 injured after a portion of an under-construction water tank, meant to treat about 110 million litres of sewage water per day, collapsed in Bengaluru on Monday. The 40-foot-deep tank constructed by Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board collapsed when labourers were working inside it. Several labourers are also feared trapped under the debris.

B'desh beat WI, record 2nd highest successful chase in WC history
Bangladesh chased down the target of 322 against West Indies on Monday to record the second highest successful chase in World Cup history. No protesting doctor booked, 5 held in NRS incident: Mamata
During her meeting with protesting doctors, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said no protesting doctor has been booked and five people involved in NRS hospital incident have been arrested. Mamata also directed formation of grievance redressal units in WB hospitals as proposed by doctors. She further suggested one nodal officer must be appointed to supervise security situation at the hospital.
